No one can begin to appreciate the implications of an "always on" voice and data connection in a VoIP environment. One you begin using wireless handsets to control your digital environment with Bluetooth, 802.11B, USB ports, the relationship between capacity and data throughput becomes essential.

If 1XEV can deliver 4.8 MBPS 1.25 MHZ/carrier, the upside for wideband operators is incredible. If GPRS networks use the new UMTS spectrum to build a WCDMA air interface and incorporate a 1XEV data upgrade, you could drive 4 - 1.25 MHZ channels with unlimited capacity at 4.8 MBPS.

Now, I can dedicate a channel for internet music - mp3, Internet radio, or WMP formats. I can plug a UB port connection between my cell phone and my laptop or pc to make high speed Internet connections while I am talking on the phone at the same time.

If the background music was adjusted with a Bluetooth connection to my WMP stereo or WMP mp3 player, I could using at least 3 of the 4 carriers at available in a 5 MHZ UMTS network at the same time. This is why you need both USB ports and Bluetooth connections to run multiple digital applications at the same time.

It is fundamentally better to run 4 1xEV carriers than 1.
