Why the heck not? They assume the debt risk, they also assume the rewards associated with said risk.

There are thousands of third party agreements so structured. Why does one think this is so questionable?

Well, it looks as tho highlight on accounting practices is a blight on the market today
It also seems the bears have a solid lock on Dells (and others) trading range. I thought they might have to move it up, but no sign of it happening yet.No concern to long term investors but a pain to me.
I have assumed it was funds controlling, now my suspicions have gone further afield , and I don't care to discuss where that may be.
