Essentially that is what I did (after the fact) using the disk management utility (per Bob) before completing creating partitions (changed CD-ROM to I: and E: to D: with dmu, then added E:, F:, G:, H: with PM).

I was at latest (7.01 - "ENPartitionMagic701.exe").

I'm assuming it was a function of XP Pro as opposed to PM7, or earlier versions with WIN95 or WIN 98. I've been through a few versions over the years. <g>

The program still amazes me. Sure beats the old DOS bit.
