7% sequential growth in bookings sounds like a positive surprise. Nice to have both bookings and billings both rising again.

Much better than I expected...

B2B shows an uptick in both billings and bookings and NVLS guidance is for a Q1 book to ship of 1 and some requests for expedited shipment. Afterhours shows a $1 uptick for AMAT and NVLS. I was also very impressed with the extensive Q&A session on the NVLS call. Looks like everyone is paying close attention to any signs of the expected upturn.

There is still some air of caution. NVLS mentioned several times that they hope that this isn't just a dead cat bounce (a pile up of orders that were pushed out from last year to make the numbers look better?). I did not hear any comments about what the linearity of the Q1 shipments looks like.

(Thanks Sam for the reminder about B2B - it had slipped my mind)
