Thanks for that article. I sure hope the author is correct.

One interesting topic - capacity utilization - was said to be about 73% at the end of 2001. For Intel, their CPU manufacturing would have to be at 100% or CURRENT capacity - as they are rumoured to be producing Pentium 4's at a rate lower than demand.

For Intel, that means bringing on NEW capacity - as they convert to 0.13 micron and finish off the ramp of their new fabs. Hence, they are shelling out $5.5 Billion this year in CapEX - sum that exceeds the maximum revenue that AMD ever had in its history by over $650,000,000
