res- Your first paragraph was right on and I agree totally. Here is the paragraph you think is right on. It's called a business cycle rich. Businesses are adjusting to a worldwide economic slowdown. The internet economy crashed from it's speculative heights, and took a lot of the economy with it. Greenspan also misjudged inflationary fears and jacked up interest rates at the wrong time. Throw in 9/11 and the huge effect travel has on the economy, and these things happen. Now, perhaps you can explain this disconnect in the way your mind works. Why do you post here night after night that the economic downturn is George Bush's fault? It's exactly these kind of ridiculously obvious disconnects which make me see you as nothing more than a Democrat mouthpiece.
