Yes, I agree. Apples used to be much easier for newbies. As a matter of fact that's basically what built Apple. That's why I started out on a Mac. They are still marginally easier, but Microsoft closed the gap signifigantly, especially for newbies. Where as OS X is a small step backwards.

I agree completely.

In my experience, Macs are easier to use and certainly to troubleshoot than PCs, but neither is anywhere near easy enough for the average person.

No computers are easy to use.

I disagree. I've never had any trouble using my microwave. Nor have I had trouble driving my car, using the phone network, playing CDs on the stereo etc etc etc.

It's all in the interface.
