Not sure.

I detest telemarketing.

But I also detest federal meddling in the free market of ideas.

Not sure yet how I feel this one plays out on those two sides.

And I trust the private sector to come up with enough ways to handle the problem of telemarketers. There are already zappers for computerized calls. There is caller ID. There will be more responses, and I think the problem will die out. Also, we have to realize that it only continues because it works, so if we all just stopped buying anything from telemarketers, which is my philosophy, and I tell them so, it will stop on its own almost overnight.

Frankly, more of a bother to me is junk mail. It costs us extra trash bills to get rid of it all, while telemarketers cost us nothing but time and nuisance.
