there has been a big fight among bulls and bears since late november, larry mcmillan has pointed out the flat line of the weighted equity only put/call ratio since then, you can look at the rising wedge from november on msft and the huge volume gap down on earnings, it looks like the indecision has become decision, and the trend is now down, and i wouldn't fade bearish sentiment until it becomes more extreme in the put/call ratios and the vix.

we could have more chop, like last summer, but i won't bet on it till i see it,

the 4 year cycle is 2002, the long bet is that we make a 4 year low sometime this year.
