I believe Enron may have denied that the company

Maybe, If Ashcroft is really out of the picture

I think that Ashcroft (and Chaney) are out of the picture the same way that Jeb Bush was out of the picture during the Florida election scandal. I don't think Pitt should recuse himself though, I think he should just resign.
