"Bush put his Vice-President Dick Cheney in
charge of the Committee to save California
consumers. Recommendation number one:
build some nuclear plants."

My pc crashed over the weekend. One document that I will
have to look for again has to do with nuclear power
plants. It was the opinion of the author that W
liked nuclear power because it was located in states
that were very far away from Texas!!!!

zonkie...people didn't notice these alarming goings ons...posted by dukeof url over at unmoderated:

Congress and the administration received huge contributions from enron.

Congress then passed a law that said gas derivatives are not securities and therefore are not subject to the securtities disclosure rules.

Congress then passed a law which severly limited the liability of accounting firms to securities laws, for mistatements.

Congress then passed a law which made it impossible for lawyers to go after the companies themselves for this kind of fraud.

You cannot make a rule that someone cant go around.

The executive branch signed all this legislation.

They all knew what they were doing and they took the money.

You need civil actions and the threat of civil actions to stop this corruption.

These same people buried McCains disclosure of political contributions bill.

I am not saying that these crooks should go free, but Using those invovled here as the "scapegoat" to hide and not really understand what really happened is stupid.
