If we had an unlimited supply of energy we would probably use it to destroy each other, so maybe we don't need it. That is another plausible reason; Perhaps world governments aid in retarding the process of CF development because of the radical transformation CF would bring to the entire planet's socio-economic picture. They would have a hard time putting a damned meter on such a self supporting device, much less taxing it. It represents the next level of independence in the minds of many, including yours truly. Will we live to see it? Who knows. I concede that it appears doubtful at the present time. John
