To tell you the truth, I think long term investing is no longer a valid way to survive. Information moves to quickly and there are folks out there who are looking to take advantage of saps who keep putting their dollars in funds whether they make money or not, and charge them management fees on top of it. You have to gain an edge in the market to make money. It's not just going to fall in your lap.
