Where's the hypocrisy? Daschole changed the rules. Appointments he doesn't like now need a super majority to get a vote. Absurd abuse of power.

There was a legitimate question about Hormel's qualifications in that he was openly, militantly homosexual and Luxembourg, the country that he was to represent us in is conservative and Catholic.

No one questions Reich or Scalia's qualifications to do the job.

No. Technically it is a legal remedy at the disposal of the Prez. However, it does set a poor precedent and I feel Bush should take on the Senate more directly. In fact, given Bush's astounding popularity, if he made this an issue Daschle would look like an even bigger bunghole than he already does after his lying statements about the tax cut.

This what Republicans call hypocrisy?

Sooooo much baggage to carry around. I wouldn't be surprised to see slumped shoulders soon. Oh, but that's right, character doesn't matter to dems, isn't that right Third?

I doubt there is any relationship with our President, but Ethel said it well?

(whew, what a list, but of course dems would have us believe all of these charges are a part of the VRWC.) LOLOLOLOL

See how easy it is to post in the Internet? I just LOVE the Internet. How bout you?

Multiple scandals

Every scandal and story of corruption swirling around the White House since the Arkansas invasion has left the representatives of the president standing baffled before interrogators, unable to remember or explain anything.

This leads one to conclude that a very contagious disease, brought by the first couple to Washington, is spreading like wildfire though their minions -- the dreaded "lapse disease." It is manifested by mental lapses, moral lapses and ethical lapses.

The disturbing results of this disease are too numerous even to remember, but here's a short list: Whitewater, Travelgate, FBIgate, Vincent Foster, Ron Brown, Mike Espy, Maggie Williams, Webster Hubbell, the McDougals, David Hale, lost billing records, lost suicide note, lost log books, Greg Livingstone, Jennifer Flowers, John Huang, Paula Jones, Utah land grab, naval base sale to Red China, and the Teamsters' money laundering.

This disease is no respecter of reputations, as witnessed by the Buddhist temple money-grubbing and illegal phone solicitations of the supposedly pristine Al Gore, and the disregard of the law and thwarting of investigations by the lady of such reputed integrity, Janet Reno.

The Clintons are apparently modern- day Typhoid Marys -- carriers of this disease -- since they have so far been immune to its ravages while those around them are falling like flies. When this disease has entirely devastated the land, they will have the hubris to stand smiling atop the rubble, proposing a new tax for a government program to cure "lapse disease."

I say it is time for an all-out assault on this disease by the voters of this nation; and its carriers should be isolated, but definitely not in the White House.
