i would guess that ABX is itching to make a move. Would a merger with AU and then a hostile takeover of NEM be a possibility?

Yes, I agree there's not much there on the website. If you look at that top picture and go through that doorway past that central display case and turn right, the display is there, kind of dark and glowing. There is a 1 kilo bar that looks very small next to those lovely nuggets.
