In reality, Intel is a little further along than that article indicates. I believe their first 300 MM wafer fab is already qualified for shipping product

In their earnings announcement Intel said production had[already] started on 300mm wafers(referring to Q4).

Sounds encouraging, thanks for the info. Is Intel doing P4, or PIIIM, or Celeron on 300 mm? (Best answer = yes).
