MSFT Blessing...

<<<Why isn't NTAP on MSFT's HCL? >>>

Who knows what kind of ridiculous reason MSFT has managed to come up with? IMHO, MSFT is a morally and intellectually bankrupt outfit, but having said that, if NTAP doesn't get back on the HCL, they (NTAP) are toast. This, too, is IMHO.

Data storage is an exciting and dynamic industry, still in its infancy, and cut-throat as all get-out.

Given IT capital spending projections that I've seen, I have no faith that any of the players are going to be particularly good investments for the next couple of years.

Ultimately, I expect NetApp to be bought out by Sun, or perhaps IBM. Cisco is also a possibility. This is all at least 200% speculation on my part.

FWIW,
Steve
