that's a good point actually -- the measure Tomasso referenced, while it may look static, may be more dynamic than he thinks -- it is the cost to produce vs other things.

I see nothing that would necessarily preclude very high prices for gold -- cost of production tends to put a price floor under commodities, not place a ceiling on their prices

A higher POG doesn't even necessarily have to come with a weaker dollar ...
