The apparent success of the Milwaukee initiative should be widely publicized. You are right, a lot of black parents are aching to get their children into disciplined schools where they can learn. In the inner cities, about 80% of the students in Catholic parochial schools are black, although most of them are not Catholic. A lot of Baptists and AME parents are willing to have the nuns teach them so that they will have an orderly environment in which to learn, and the Catholic schools are happy to remain open and serve the community.......
