I guess AMD is planning on having more losses in the future, after all, the potential dilution of shares makes the EPS(LPS) seem more palatable, and leaves "money in the bank" <g>

Wanna,

I wouldn't consider it a "desperate" move, as you call it. Nortel and Lucent, who were at the time on very shaky financial ground, sold conv't debt, however institutional investors bought.

Debt should not be considered "evil".....
