Listened to BRCM conference call, Henry Nicholas III, is absolutely the best spinmeister I've ever heard. Not a word about GAAP numbers, not even a reference. Even AMZN listed GAAP numbers...
BRCM's (-.11) is PRO FORMA
Their 2 primary customers are MOT and CSCO. That surely doesn't inspire me....
Sold off after hours, wonder who will upgrade tomorrow? Gotta be a short on any rally.

Fred

<No position, but if they rally it up, I'll have one tomorrow going into FOMC...>

i pretty much agree with your sentiments

except SEC won't crack down on pro-forma nonsense
unless someone higher up the food chain forces
their hand, i highly doubt the 'bought-and-paid-for'
mr. pitt would mandate such on his own (he will be dismissed or quit before he lets such a change go thru imo)

since the departure of mr. levitt, the sec has
hardly been worried about the plight of the individual investor

i continue to think this will take a groundswell
of public outrage at wall steet and the financial industry including corporate america), congress will forced to act

it is going to happen, i'm betting on it

cheers
