Tony,

You, as well as I, should not equate Dan3 with AMD. At this point in time, it is unclear what the purpose of the "debt" offering is.

Is it to pay the current portion of their LT Obligation? If so, then it is a non-event, since AMD will be "re-floating" a "simliar" amount of debt....

Re: All those posts by Dan and others that we had to wade through about Intel reducing their warchest

What's the fact that Intel lost a big chunk of their warchest got to do with AMD wanting to increase the size of
their own warchest?

Tony - Re: "All those posts by Dan and others that we had to wade through about Intel reducing their warchest in the past 2 years, and it's AMD, naturally, that has to go out for more debt. People that live in glass houses shouldn't throw stones, and AMD just lobbed a lode of granite onto the roof!"

Unfortunately, the AMDuds will have a spin on this debt offering that makes AMD look like the George Soros of financial geniuses.
