Here are some thoughtful posts from Yahoo! re-stating recent ABIZ chronology of events:messages.yahoo.com A Synopsis of ABIZ..please read by: medicaz (32/M) 01/23/02 09:14 pm Msg: 14134 of 14144 9-30-01: ABIZ announces they need 395mil to fund capex from 10/1 to 9/30/02. Also says they have about 101mil onhand but 85mil is needed for the last qtr. 11-09-01: ADLAC states that instead of paying dividends they will issue .49 shares of ABIZ for each ADLAC share thus securing an add'tl 100mil of credit for ABIZ. 1-2-02- Moodys says default rates high and junk bonds are significant credit risk (ABIZ). 1-3-02:ABIZ announces they will not pay dividend payment on prefered shares. Goes to .05/share. 1-14-02:ADLAC states ABIZ shares distributed (93mil shares-NOT dilution! They owned these shares) 1-16-02:ADLAC raises 1.5 bil by offering convertables (dilution in 3 years for ADLAC).Could this be them forseeing the difficulty in financing for ABIZ? 1-23-02-As of 1/3/02 over 189mil traded! The fuel is the 1/3/02 statement plus stodgy ADLAC investors that don't want penny stocks as dividend (with financing issues). They want CASH. Conclusion: I say ABIZ has the funding via the ADLAC convertables. It's all there in the News and PR's. Do your own DD to confirm. I am open to opinions and wish to discuss my theory with serious investors only. Medic and also this one:messages.yahoo.com Re: A Synopsis of ABIZ..please read by: medicaz (32/M) 01/23/02 10:27 pm Msg: 14141 of 14144 Yes, they do have debt and it is being addressed, i.e. financing, revenues (up 24% in Sept.) and not paying the dividends on preferred securities. Isn't it obvious that ADLAC is doing everything they can to save this company? Besides the fact that not one member of the BOD sold a single share last year? Do you really think that instead of paying a dividend to ADLAC shareholders that they would substitute it with a security they know will be bankrupt months later? Common sense says things should be okay...Mass hysteria regarding the market, economy etc. produce EMOTIONAL decisions not practical ones. I'm not saying ABIZ is worth 40 a share but surely, in the short term, it is worth more the .11 a share. This family built up ADLAC from the ground up...You don't think they're used to adversity or challenges? I mean, look at their track record....Oh yeah, they just have the 6th largest cable co. in the country... Medic Larry, and other SI posters, what do you think? Could there be something more positive in the ABIZ future? Thanks, Piotr
