Grace, don't recall any argument we've had.
I do have a problem with your scenario, however, because it never factors in what the rental payments would be after all those years, and how much of one's income this would suck up. Looks like risk and uncertainty to me.

My current mortgage payment is less than $1800 a month and has been for decades now. Ain't nowhere I can live in my metro area for that amount and have room for the family.

After I posted to you I was thinking about BERKSHIRE CL A. I think it was $2000 and now $73,700 ... a heck of better investment than the house I am posting this message from. <ggg>
