Earlie, quite so. note btw. that Austria's CB has recently bought 100 tons of gold, which is a reminder that there's more to the Euro area than just the ECB - the member country CBs continue to exist, and collectively hold a pretty impressive hoard. for a fiat currency, the Euro has pretty strong credentials. technically (long term), it seems to trace out a bottom not unlike that of the mid 90's in the dollar index. and in the very long term, the coming integration of Eastern Europe into the EU smells of a big economic boom.
