Cash and short-term deposits of $4.1million permit the Corporation to carry on its aggressive exploration program on the 100% held Jackson Inlet and TORNGAT diamond properties. The spring sampling program of 18.41 tonnes kimberlite from the Freightrain pipe produced Twin Mining's first 1-carat gem quality diamond measuring 6.98 x 5.64 x 3.60mm. Diamond Trading N.V. , Antwerp, Belgium examined the diamonds recovered from this sample and stated that "the diamonds are similar to high quality South African diamonds but without having their characteristic yellow colouring". The six mini-bulk samples weighing approximately 320 wet tonnes from the second 2001 exploration campaign have been delivered to Lakefield Research Limited ("Lakefield") and are being processed. Results are expected by early 2002. Ongoing results are expected from the processing and diamond extraction of approximately 3 tonnes of drill core samples and 120 bags of soil samples. Cargo 1 pipe was confirmed during the quarter through favourable diamond indicator minerals, a micro-diamond, which was found in the soil sample, and the first core hole which intersected 83 meters of kimberlite. Twin Mining's land position was further increased from 604.50 to 654sq.km as a result of staking of additional prospective areas, which were identified in the final interpretation of the aeromagnetic survey. *** Toronto, Ontario, (December 13, 2001) - Twin Mining Corporation (“Twin Mining”) (TWG - TSE) is very encouraged by partial caustic fusion results, received to date, from Lakefield Research Limited ("Lakefield") from NQ (47mm diameter) core holes JI-CG1-01 and JI-CG1-02. The diamond distribution in the partially analyzed core samples appears to follow the pattern established at Freightrain where there is a very high percentage of large macro-diamonds (+1mm) (see press release of July 18, 2001). A 5-meter section of JI-CG1-02, weighing 18.65kg returned 11 diamonds of which 4 were macros. Two of these stones were greater than 1mm, weighed 0.028 carats, measured 2.05 x 1.48 x 1.12mm and 1.14 x 0.80 x 0.22mm and were described by Lakefield as fragments. Also similar to the Freightrain pipe is the white and transparent gem quality character of the diamonds. The pace of caustic fusion of the 3 tonnes of Jackson Inlet core is expected to increase as laboratory availability improves. The DMS processing of the six mini-bulk samples is on schedule for completion as planned in February 2002. Complete analysis results will be announced as soon as they are available. Twin Mining is also pleased to announce that a detailed review of flight line data (see press release March 29, 2001) has revealed two additional anomalies near Freightrain that are interpreted to be pipes. They are designated ANO 4C and 4D, 90 and 200 meters in diameter. This brings the total interpreted and confirmed number of pipes to 14. This is considered only a sampling of the total pipe population in the area. Twin Mining plans further airborne geophysical surveys at closer spaced flight lines and is very optimistic that more pipes will be discovered. Thank you to all the sellers and to Russet for his usual disinformation/fear mongering campaign and shorting activities, loading up again. Regards Vaughn
