>> Now my question is does orcl look like it can move past 17.30? or is it out of gas and headed down to fill some of those gaps from yesterday? <<

Really no way of knowing. It will probably bend to the general market for some direction. Just an out and out boring sideways day on ORCL today.

On the daily there's that gap; weak market, perhaps it gets filled. Futures down some overnight, at the moment, the bigger market test should be on in full force tomorrow...

welcome to the world of trading.. i would review your trades and see what "criterias" led you to buy and sell.

it takes time.. hopefully you took time to paper trade your system..

when i first started trading, i first paper traded, and then started with very small positions to see how i would handle real money emotionally. my goal first year was not become like other traders who lost all their money at the beginning

best regards

in2tech, I read your post a few days after the fact last week. Been thinking about it this weekend and I wanted to thank you. Particularly the fact that you spelled out the details. As we read in lots of different places, learning to trade requires analyzing both good and bad trades and I think your post may be very helpful to some folks. It is one thing to read or hear the somewhat abstract comment like 'don't overtrade' or whatever. Your post is valuable in that your step by step description may provide good material to look at and think about.

To that end, if you have a few minutes could you respond to the questions below and perhaps help us to learn a little more about trading 'pitfalls?'

First, did you by chance keep a file copy of ORCL's intraday chart for that day? If so, could you post it?

Second, I am wondering about the following issues? Did you start out to swing trade for 1, 2 ,3 days? Did you change your mind suddenly? Or, did you plan on 'playing it by ear' that day and/or the next?

Finally, do you subscribe to TrendVue Plus, a member of Pro(Live)?

Thanks.
