Mephisto, et.al.:

I got the chance to watch (via TV) the House interviews today, and all I can say is.....Yeeesh! Today Anderson got hung out to dry. I can't wait to see how some of the Enron exec's respond in these hearings. Bottom line for me? Me thinks some significant jail-time is required for the principle sponsors of this theft.

If there's one good thing coming out of all this, it's todays little bit of news that's getting short shift in the face of todays House interviews. It's the successful 'signage' of the "Discharge Petition" on the Shays-Meehan bill. If there's anything that has confirmed the need for campaign finance reform the Enron debacle surely is it. As for the political nature of all this....well....I love the following two political cartoons found on the NY Times web-site:

Tony Auth
www2.uclick.com

Glenn McCoy
uclick.com

I think both cartoons are hysterical.
