CB, I used to think that debts were bad, but debt's really just a way of bringing consumption forwards. Since one of my complaints in my youth was that people get their wealth at the wrong end of their lives, it makes sense to shift consumption forwards and pay a premium for it [provided that the premium isn't too large, which would put future enjoyment at risk].

I would love to have had a fraction of my assets when I was 20.

I wouldn't pay credit card interest rates though. They are too high. Mortgage rates are not too bad.
