I'm sure AMD might try and go to 4-way SMP by sticking two cores on a die and using some sort of 2-way chipset. I doubt it would make a very good 4-way server if it only had the memory bandwidth of a typical 2-way chipset. Plus AMD has always been reluctant to produce large-die CPUs, but that can change over the course of the next three years.

<What's you opinion of the Intel version of x86-64? I guess the news of it's existence is a big blow to your team.>
