Brian,

That's strange! Here's the opening paragraph of the lead story today.

January 25, 2002 (TOKYO) -- Accenture Corp. and the Center for Global Communications (GLOCOM) released on Jan. 23, 2002 a market forecast entitled "four scenarios for the Japanese mobile communication market in 2010."

GLOCOM is a research institute affiliated with the International University of Japan.

The forecast says the market scale of basic fees coupled with voice/data communication usage fees of mobile devices will grow from 6 trillion yen in 2001 to be about 10 trillion yen in 2010 in the most optimistic scenario, or will decline to about 2 trillion yen in the most pessimistic scenario. (134.08 yen = US$1)

FWIW,
Joe
