Your story sounds familiar...

Its taken me forever to become unemotional about the market and develop / adopt an approach I can live with.

My personal holdings are dominated by conservative investments; cash and equivalents, egads, even one fund, one of the few in Canada that can go long/short in retirement accounts. We are quite unlucky in that regard up here.

I trade only a small portion of my capital based on market timing; I'm also picking up some very beaten names and holding them as long as the chart or stops say to. Its certainly not as easy as it was, once.

Personally I would like one more big leg down. It might even be healthy... but that desire is more because I am PO'd at being distracted - as many were - during the sad days of September. I didn't trade at all for 2 months.
