lol I sure can wrap my mind around that... how many folks believed price would be here, back in Spring 2000 ;)

(quite a few of the people here, it turns out, but that's an anomaly compared to the general public)

The major problem I have with price prediction is that it, for me at least - and I'm sure for many others - can lead to analysis paralysis.

I suffered from that in 1999. I 'knew' it was going to end badly but instead of taking full advantage of it I let price projection keep me out of many good [long] trades, even though I knew I was nimble enough. So instead I foolishly honed my shorting skills, too early. ugh! Came out of it ok but meager profit compared to what could have been.

Made up for that in 2000.

Made some edits to this post because I can remember clearly the frustration I felt - all the fundamental and technical signs developed into a clear picture yet it refused to go down. Finally, thank goodness, I cleared out all the preconceptions and totally focussed on the chart. It sure wasn't easy for me, to be truly ambivalent.

Still I like seeing nice lines on charts and then checking back months later to see how things came out.

Market still trying to move up. Knights who say Ni! Ni!
