Bob, OT.

It is no secret I live in the Fairbanks area.

Love it here. Have traveled a fair amount since arriving, from Kuparak to Valdez to Anch to Kenai, etc. Next summer hope to get over towards where Frank lives, and maybe down along the southeastern coast, fishing of course. Not much into hunting but might have to get a moose just once.

I'd like to spend a winter in Coldfoot, just south of the Brooks, in a little cabin with a wireless connect. That area is awesome. Chased some sheep around in the Brks last summer, with my camera. Lots of fun.

One of my favorite books when I was a kid was 'Traplines North'. Don't have copy and think it would be hard to find one. Was a true story about a trapping family that lived on the north side of the Great Lakes, maybe somewhere north of Sault Ste. Mari. Time period was probably in the 30's, as I recall. Must have read that book 5 times.

It hit -38 F at my house last night. According to Yahoo! we're supposed to hit 50 F early next week. A 90 degree swing. Will believe it when it happens - know it is supposed to warm up soon, but that is unusual. Very unusual.
