I find this despicable.. I'm sure big Corporations knew of asbestos exposure yet failed to disclose the information to their employees. Probably because it'd interfere with corporate profits to remove the cancer causing agent. Putting caps on asbestos liabilities would essentially be putting caps on net worth of human lives. I'm disgusted!!!

People are realizing how serious this asbestos liability can be the major US industrials. I don't think the government has any choice.
Can't afford to bankrupt the biggest corporations in the country; would do too much damage to the economy; you can bet many CEOs were lobbying lately---I read that a lot of major industrials have been facing this liability.

I think the Dow stayed down recently due to this fear. I would call it built up demand for the stocks and now they are starting to buy these big caps.
Any ray of hope and they will move; I think they have a way to go.
