You forgot to mention Intel taking back 2% more MSS.

"Looks like AMD got zapped by a DUD alright."

And compared to Northwood, Willamette was a dud. Now AMD gets to get zapped by the real thing, with popular DDR memory, a stable socket, lower power, and higher performance. No wonder why Athlon XP prices have taken a nose dive on Pricewatch.
