Big deal. I have a black friend who says that next to the "n" word, "Uncle Tom" is the worst racial epithet which a black person can be called....

I agree with you, "Uncle Tom" is not a racist term. It is a pejorative used just as you said for blacks, who have "sold out", meaning they have
decided to think differently than the majority of liberal blacks are presumed to think.

One must congratulate the masters of spin and thought control that have turned this simple term into an effective tool for enforcing
conformity. Absolutely brilliant!

Most people want to conform and be part of a group. Few want to be looked at as traitors. Orwell, Stalin and Hitler would be proud. So much
accomplished by the use of just two little words, "Uncle Tom".
