Monica: The XBOX has been out over two months with a million or thereabouts sold and no reports of instability.

Consoles are so extremely easy to make stable, compared to PCs. They aren't coupled with a wide variety of hardware components - including both ancient and ones so new, that they were not available at chipset design time. Additionally, there's the software perspective. Again, everything is pretty much predetermined: OS and APIs are fixed.
