<If Hammer does hit that Spec score 1300 on 32 bit code who cares about 64 bit at this moment. ITANIC seems to be floating in quicksand>

True. The 32-bit performance will sell Hammers for many years to come. However, I would feel much safer with Itanic kept on life support for as long as possible.

Milo, re: "If Hammer does hit that Spec score 1300 on 32 bit code who cares about 64 bit at this moment."

This is a question I have had over the last couple of days. AMD's projected Spec score - is it based on running in Long Mode (full 64-bit mode) or a 32 bit mode as the former offers a lot more room for the compilers to play?
