If your point is that x86 cannot penetrate certain enterprise segments no matter how powerful or inexpensive it is, and that Intel designed IA-64 in order to give IT professionals a reason to use Intel Architecture, then I agree with you. Somehow, I didn't see that as being your point earlier.
