I agree. There is no reason to believe that a careful investigation did not take place.

Possibly. However, this is not a situation where the one and only prosecution witness in an organized crime trial dies under suspicious circumstances. The fingerprints of the guilty parties are all over this case. The SEC and Justice Department will have mountains of evidence before this is all done. Don't forget that Cliff Baxter was not the whistle-blower here. There will be numerous internal accounting personnel who can testify to what was done when and by whose decision.
