I don't think that JS would go for anything less than 50% ownership in a 300mm fab.

My guess is that UMC would be ramping CPU production just about the time that AMD would be introducing the value segment Hammer. It would seem to make sense for AMD to use SOI for Clawhammer while producing the value segment Hammer at UMC using bulk silicon.
