"Under proposed legislation, the US Postal Service will be attempting to bill E-mail users out of "alternative
postage fees."

Bill 602P will permit the Federal Government to charge a 5-cent surcharge on every e-mail delivered, by billing
Internet Service Providers at source. The consumer would then be billed in turn by the ISP.

People must fight this rule. The Internet was meant to be a place where all people could research
topics and exchange ideas. For the first time, the average and the poorest person, have
access to information that only a few shared in the past.

Subject: .05 cents per message on E-mail

Guess the warnings were true. Federal Bill 602P 5-cents per E-mail sent. It figures! No more free E-mail! We knew this was coming!! Bill 602P will permit the Federal Government to charge a 5-cent charge on every delivered E-mail.

It's a hoax e-mail that's been propagated for years. There is no such thing as Bill 602P. Heck, the House and Senate don't even use terms like that. It's an HR-nnn or S-nnn.

The original intent of this particular e-mail hoax was to flood the House and Senate e-mail servers. And the damn thing is still floating around.

P.S> Anytime you see a phrase like Send this E-mail to EVERYONE on your list it's a very, very, very good bet that the e-mail is either a hoax or has a virus.
