I believe that Saddam even ....touching....Israel makes him a dead man in a heartbeat.

He launched Scuds at Tel Aviv in 1991 and he's still alive, isn't he? It all depends on his judgment of how much the US is going to handcuff Israel, and as we know, his judgement of the US is not exactly reliable.
