Medlin, Texas is that everyone talks about oil.

Midland? My Uncle and family were in Midland (he still is) and I visited frequently. If you've ever been to that part of Texas then you know that oil is the only subject. It is very sparsely populated desert and the only reason Midland exists is some large oil pools.

The interesting part came when I got some friends in Odessa. That is a nearby town where the workers live (the managers live in Midland). It created a major social divide. Midland is where the Texas Republican party got it's start.
