Gottfried, I guess the only way to be sure software is authentic is to buy it at a higher price from a reputable retailer. I routinely buy almost every major purchase, especially computer related, at a low price. Lower no doubt than MS would think is reasonable for their precious software. So that's one criteria I'll take with a grain of salt, within reason. MS should manufacture their product in such a way that illegal copies cannot be registered. Maybe that's the case, and your initial criteria was correct. Still thinking about all this. Esteban
