I was just thinking about it. I heard only a couple of comments but they had to do with the Cheney Energy bill, and when I thought back, I recalled that Cheney's and Powell's influence was offset by Rice's. She was spending her weekends at Camp David with the Bushes. The press reported on her increase in power until 9/11. I suppose my point is: if Enron was in trouble and the Prez knew it might collapse he might take it out on Cheney since Enron executives met six times with the energy group. Pure speculation on my part. I picked up only a couple of comments about the rift between W and Cheney, if indeed, there was a rift at that time. JMOP
