There are two companies that do semiconductor design and manufacturing that are generally accepted to be significantly ahead of everyone else in reliability: IBM and Intel. Ask anyone that works in a computer company that requires the lowest chip FIT rates and they will tell you this. This is common knowledge in that community, so to be claiming AMD is ahead of Intel tells me you are far removed from this scene. So, ranked after Intel and IBM there are a bunch of Japanese or other Far East companies with regard to reliability. AMD isn't in the top 10.
