Aw c'mon Pearly, you know that's no easy task. And it's not just Saddaam. It's his handpicked government and a few thousand Republican Guard troops too.

I agree that the best way is not to target the whole population, but sometimes you can't make lemonade with lemons because the core is too rotten.

Another way should be found, but a lot of good minds still haven't imagined it. So Plan B remains while they're in pursuit of a Perfectly Good Plan A.

I do agree that this is only useful if it limits Iraq's capacity to build WMD's, and I'm not at all convinced that Plan B even passes that muster.

I don't like the sanctions against Iraq. I don't like economic sanctions, period. I am one of those capitalists who would sell you the rope to hang me with. I believe in the free market.
