Glenn: edit -- I meant 'out of the money calls' on my post, not 'out of the money puts' when talking about the activity on options expiration day.

We will have an honest market when 'stock price manipulation' is no longer passed off as normal business practice. Business investment should be based on real business fundamentals and not conjured up with phony story telling -- which has always been my objection to 'unlimited potential' etc. Contrary to the thinking rampant in the bubble, a mixture of greed and slick press releases is not a sound foundation for the stock market. In that sense we are only just in the middle of coming out of the bubble and have a long way to go to correct the fraudulent excesses.
